London, England (PRWEB UK) 6 November 2013

Moo! Said Morris is the latest picture book from innovative new childrens publisher, Digital Leaf http://www.digitalleaf.co.uk/

Written and illustrated by Jon Lycett-Smith its laugh-out-loud funny but, be warned, it doesnt come quietly!

The book tells the tale of Morris, a mouse for whom squeaking isnt enough. Hed rather say Moo! In fact hed rather say Moo, Quack, Baa, or even ‘Vroom’, and hes only just getting warmed up!

Young children aged 3-6 years will love to join in with the fun of this story as Morris proves that he is no meek mouse when it comes to standing up for himself in this noisy barnyard adventure.

This is Jons third picture book title, his first two Kitten Kid, Where Are You? and Bear and Bee were published by Walker Books. Jon has recently returned to his first love of picture books following his escape from the games industry where he is probably best known for his hilarious illustrations for award-winning apps such as Mums Cronky Car by Anita Pouroulis, and Richard Stantons, What Will I Be? also published by Digital Leaf.

The managing director of Digital Leaf, Neil Jeffries, said, Moo said Morris is a book that makes everyone smile. Its feel-good with a capital F but beyond that theres a big message for kids: that it is OK to be different. This is a story with lots of heart.

The Moo Said Morris app is in development now so kids can look forward to some noisy swiping later this year.

Digital Leaf has quickly established itself as a prime mover in publishing original childrens stories as interactive apps, but has expanded its operations over the past twelve months to develop its printed book business.
