Media veteran Dr. Adam Klein who has held senior management positions at MTV, Ask Jeeves, EMI, and Hasbro will deliver a special Case Study on the state of the music industry and current cross media opportunities at this week’s Cross Media NYC Conference http://www.crossmedianyc.com, which takes place on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Scholastic Theatre in New York from 6pm to 9:30pm. Klein is the founder of the leadership and innovation company Media Leader LLC, and has over 20 years of experience in the media and entertainment sector with both established and technology-led companies. Cross Media NYC 2010 will be streamed live online courtesy of http://www.livestream.com, the conference’s official streaming partner and one of the most powerful broadcast platforms on the internet with more than 16.7 million unique viewers each month.
Dr. Klein will be joined by transmedia storytelling expert Jeff Gomez, who will deliver a separate case study on Coca Cola’s Happiness Factory, demonstrating how an entertainment IP can successfully be distributed and monetized across multiple platforms. Gomez works on some of the biggest entertainment franchises including Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, and Hasbro’s Transformers.
Cross Media NYC also confirmed today that the event’s super panel will be moderated by longtime Time Magazine contributor Jeremy Caplan. Caplan, a Visiting Professor at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, writes high-impact stories about business and technology, covering giants Google, Apple and Yahoo and smaller tech firms such as Farecast, Zillow and 37 Signals. Titled Melting the Silos: the Reality of Cross Media Integration, the panel will feature media heavy hitters Roger Keating, Senior Vice President of Hearst Television Inc., President of HollywoodLife.com Bonnie Fuller, Ubisoft’s Cross Media Group Senior Producer Mathieu Ferland, RIM/Blackberry Vice President of Multimedia Integration Alistair Mitchell and global interactive agency Digitas’ Senior Vice President Ashley J. Swartz.
