Cackleberries Entertainment of Vancouver B.C. donated gifts to Variety tents across North America this holiday season to kick off their new partnership. The purpose of this alliance is to increase overall awareness of childrens special needs issues and to expand the donation base for Variety Tents (chapters) around the world. Variety, The Childrens Charity currently has 43 Tents in 13 countries.
In addition to providing educational games for the holiday season, Cackleberries donated $ 30,000 memberships to Oville giving up to 6000 children free access to the virtual world of Oville.
Oville is a kind place for young children to play online exploring a guaranteed safe environment that combines education with entertainment. The Variety House, currently under construction will be hosted by a Cackleberry in wheelchair. Inside children will find games, videos and books about special needs issues. Variety is thrilled to be able to reach and educate young children in a new way, says Bob Stewart, International Vice President Variety International the Children’s Charity. The Variety tents look forward to this opportunity to educate children and families through an innovative virtual world and to grow their member base.
Cackleberries fully interactive virtual site is a living cartoon where caring, kindness, sharing and other emotional development lessons are shown and experienced in an interactive world. Cackleberries teaches acceptance, understanding and caring; and shows our young audience how to celebrate, not fear differences. The partnership with Variety International further underlines that vision.
